My name is Joanita, a proud alumna of Seven Star Culinary Institute, and I currently work at Aldea Restaurant in Kololo. When I joined SSCI, I had a love for food but very little knowledge of professional cooking. Through the institute’s intense training, supportive instructors, and real kitchen experience, I discovered my potential and gained the confidence to step into the culinary world. Today, I’m part of the team at one of Kololo’s top restaurants, where I prepare and serve high-standard dishes every day. Working at Aldea has taught me the importance of consistency, teamwork, and excellence, and I carry those values with me from SSCI. I’m truly grateful for how far I’ve come and excited about how far I can still go.
My name is Zulfa, a graduate of Seven Star Culinary Institute, and I’m currently working at The Oak Café in Kampala. Joining SSCI was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made — it turned my passion for cooking into a real, professional skill. The hands-on training, mentorship, and encouragement I received gave me the confidence to walk into any kitchen and contribute with excellence. At The Oak Café, I’ve grown from being a student to someone trusted with preparing quality meals and handling real customer orders daily. The experience is both humbling and empowering. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I know this is just the beginning. My name is Sharifa, a graduate of Seven Star Culinary Institute, and I’m currently working as a Commis Chef at Saba Restaurant in Onomo Hotel, Kololo, Kampala. My journey into the culinary world started with a simple desire to cook professionally, and SSCI gave me the foundation I needed to turn that desire into reality. The skills I learned — from kitchen discipline to food safety and presentation — prepared me to handle the demands of a high-end kitchen. At Saba, I now work alongside experienced chefs, contributing to the preparation of beautifully crafted dishes every day.
